Growing and growing

My little boy is growing like a weed! This was January 2, 2011, at 5 weeks old. He started smiling at 5 weeks old, and responding to his name.

He loves the mobile that was given to him by a friend at Bear's work.

Here he is at 8 weeks old.
And here he is at 9 weeks old. He has now grown out of his 0-3 month clothes and is wearing 3-6 month clothes. He's also learning to grab onto things, mainly my hair, and pull!
At his two month doctor's appointment, he was given two shots and an oral vaccine. He weighed 12 lbs, 4oz and was 22 1/2 inches long. His broken collarbone is completely healed now, even though it didn't set right. He doesn't favor it though, and there's no lasting damage. He likes to sit up on Daddy's lap and watch tv, and he can pretty much support his own head now. Gosh, he's growing way too fast! :)

January 2011

On January 2nd, Bear was able to bless Tyler in church. Tyler wore the blessing tuxedo that my grandma made for my brother, 25 years ago. He looked so adorable in it too! :)

It snowed in Phoenix for a whole 2 minutes in Jauary. I took Tyler out in it (much to my mom's dismay) to have his picture taken. My mom freaked about how he wasn't bundled up, and it was too cold out there, etc. But seriously, it was snowing in Phoenix! Who has time for a blanket?? Haha, we got the picture taken and then I took him back inside to keep him warm. PS- in the picture, there's no snow, but I swear, it was actually falling...

Here's my son, bundled up and ready to go. He hated that beanie, but it kept his head warm.

New Years Eve

I'm not entirely sure why this picture is sideways...

Tyler got a cute shirt for New Years Eve. We had some family over, and lit a few fireworks in the backyard. It was about a 15 minute New Years party, but hey, it was fun! :)

Christmas morning this year came kinda late. I got up with Tyler at 6am to feed him, and then we both fell back asleep. We got up again around 9am for another feeding, and started breakfast. We didn't get to the whole "opening presents" thing until after 11am! I'm sure this will be one of the last years for a long time that we'll get to sleep in on Christmas morning!
