Did I really marry the "in-laws" too?

We got a call today from Bear's cousin, stating that his grandma is in the hospital, and the doctor would like the family to come. We got ready and got to Mesa as soon as possible. By the time we got there, she was stable and doing better. They thought for a while that she wasn't going to make it. But she's doing better, which is a relief.

In-laws, however, are not a relief. Grandma and Grandpa have been living with family members, and they decided that they had had enough. So, in the midst of Grandma being in the hospital, the family members are throwing her out of their house, basically. Ugh. I wish, for one small moment, I could have just married my husband, and not his family. haha. However, I am grateful for his family, for all they do for us and the love and support they give us. There are just a select few who make life difficult.

Upon arriving home from Mesa, I completely biffed it on my front porch. I tripped on a rock, went flying, and landed on my knee and both hands. I have to commend myself for my ability to fall "smartly". At least I didn't clip my chin on the front bench. I had enough sense to tuck my head down and miss the bench. But, I tore the knee of my pants, and I have a couple gashes on my knee. And... bruises. Currently, you can't see them, but oh, they ARE there. They'll be nice and purple by tomorrow. I guess you never completely grow out of the childhood "bumps and bruises" stage. :-)

Chicken soup, anyone?

Today started off with the annoying beeping of a tow truck outside my house. Someone got pulled over, convienently outside my living room window, and their car was being towed. So... goodmorning to me!

Bear is sick, and hardly out of bed, let alone ready to be working all day. But he's a trooper, and went to work today. We're both trying to get over the typical January cold. It's taking MUCH longer than expected. Housework has slacked, a lot, and I really need to get working on it. But, it's more important to get feeling better. I'm definately going to have to make some chicken soup for dinner.

This is a picture of us camping this last summer. Our family started out just the two of us, then we added a hampster, and now we've got a bloodhoud.

Just getting started...

So I decided to start a blog for our little family. We're trying to keep up with everyone, and this seems like one of the easiest ways to do that. It might be a little rough starting out, but I'll figure it out and it will get better! :)
